Elaboration: Caveat Emptor; this album is short and starts with a hip/Jazz/Rap tune. Once you get over those problems, it's not too shabby. El Buho a.k.a. Gary Gazaway is a Trumpet player who does some Keyboard work on this album as well. Track 2 is a serious Jazz/Funk jam of the You're Under Arrest era Miles ilk. Track 3 starts out sounding like Pink Floyd then gets more into Mark Isham territory as it progresses. Track 4 is a bit on the happy side of Jazz with a fast Samba rhythm and no real bite whatsoever. Track 5 is a mellow Jazz/Funk groove with a distinct Miles flavor. Track 6 has a very Mark Isham sound to it with acoustic 12 string Guitar accompanying the Flugelhorn for this duet. Overall, this is a nice effort but nothing to write home about. ~ L Perez
