EER Editor's comments:
A few folks have questioned E.E.R. even having a female artists area, perhaps
considering it a sexist "separation" or a bias.

Not so!

On the contrary at E.E.R. this "separation" is actually to give women artists
EXTRA and FOCUSED attention. Many of these artists have expressed much
appreciation and interest in my doing this.

A PERSONAL NOTE:
I have two daughters who are both musicians. One is 22 and the other 17.
My oldest played first trumpet performing in an multi-year, state/regional-level

champion, awards-winning Marching Band and Jazz Band. You cannot imagine
all the male-oriented adverse experiences she has endured from insecure
bandmates and others about being a female trumpet player. She is also one
superb keys player and actually can master anything she decides to try.
So maybe now you catch the Editor's drift about "lifting up" the ladies at EER.

My 17-year old daughter is a fine pianist yet has seen all the hassles
her sister endured in music in high school and has shifted her focus from
the whole music thing. Was it just her own comfortably personal choice to do
so or did her older sister's trials in some way effect her? It was a negative
reality that did change things about her attitude towards music.

Though she remains a solid musician, she prefers mountian climbing with Dad.
She most avidly loves graphic arts, pottery (which she sells!), computers, science,
and writing stories. I am immensely proud of them both and I ADMIRE women
who are making exciting things happen in music and the arts where so many men
dominated far too long.
